Children between the ages of 3 and 17 years can register.

Tiny Tots from 3 years of age are eligible to register. Children in Tiny Tots have a play based program involving running, throwing and jumping.

Major changes to age groups and concessions for the 2018-2019 season have been made to align the age groups with school sport. Athletes born in October, November and December will be affected. Read the LANSW Information Handbook for more detailed information.

$100 per child for athletes U6 to U17.
$80 per child for Tiny Tots (includes t-shirt)

Yes, after you have completed your Service NSW online registration for each child. A separate voucher number will be required for each BSLAC registration.

Yes, we offer a $10 canteen voucher per athlete of a family that is a current member of Bankstown Sports Club.
Only available after online registration and collection of the athlete pack on our pre-registration dates of 10am to 2pm Saturdays 18 and 25 August and 5.00pm to 7.00pm Thursday 30 August 2018. Proof of membership will be required when you collect.

Compulsory online registration is available at from the 1 August 2018. After this has been done, registration is not complete until you collect your athlete’s registration pack from our club. Proof of birth for new registrations will be required to be presented such as birth certificate, passport or hospital blue book.

Collect athlete registration packs from our clubroom during the following times:

* 10am to 2pm.Saturdays 18 and 25 August 2018
* 5.30pm to 7pm Thursdays 30 August 2018
5.30pm to 7pm Thursdays 6,13,20,27 September 2018
5.30pm to 7pm Thursdays 4,11,18,25 October 2018

BSLAC registration closes at the end of October each year.

Yes, BSLAC offers a 2 week trial period. Costs are $10 per Tiny Tot and $10 per athlete U6 to U17.

Athletes wishing to trial must be registered online at After this has been completed proof of birth will be required to be presented such as birth certificate, passport or hospital blue book.
Visit our clubroom during the following times to provide proof of birth:
10am to 2pm.Saturdays 18 and 25 August 2018 5.30pm to 7pm Thursdays 30 August.

If your child/ren decide to register with us with then the trialling fee will be deducted from the athlete’s registration fee. The trialling fee will be forfeited if the athlete decides not to register.

Yes, a uniform is compulsory for U6 to U17 athletes. Uniforms can be purchased from our clubroom at a cost of $25 for each item (singlet, crop top, shorts and bike shorts). Tiny Tots receive a free t-shirt upon completion of online registration and collection of their athlete pack.

All athletes registered in the U12 to U17 little athletics age groups automatically become registered members of Athletics NSW.

Little athletics is a summer sport and BSLAC’s weekly competition runs every year from September to March.

What day and time is competition?

BSLAC offers weekly Saturday morning competition starting at 8.00am and finishing approximately 12 noon. Visit for more information.

Our club offers running, jumping, throwing and race walking. Visit  to view the events on offer for each age group in our two week program.

Children can join with any level of skill or fitness. Our emphasis is on family, fun and fitness. Children are given plenty of encouragement to achieve personal bests.

No, weekly attendance is not compulsory. Understandably, families do have other commitments. However, regular attendance does increase athlete improvement.

No, little athletics is the wrong sport for your child if an adult cannot be present during competition.

Little athletics is a voluntary run organisation, which can’t operate without the assistance of parents each week. Parents assist with officiating at events; managing  age groups; recording results; timekeeping; working in the canteen; etc. All parents are encouraged to become involved. Little athletics is one of the few sports where parents can become fully involved in their child’s sporting interest.

Yes. BSLAC offers weekly training Tuesday and Thursday nights 5.00pm to 6.30pm for its U9 to U17 athletes only. Little Athletics NSW also conducts coaching clinics and camps at various venues and times throughout the season..Visit for more details.

External championships against other clubs are offered through athlete qualification and entry from zone to region to state to nationals.
Some clubs also conduct gala days which are open to registered members from any centre. These are fun days, which offer a variety of events and awards.

All results are online. Go to and log in with your email address used for registration and set up your own password. Any time you forget your password hit forgot password and an email will be sent to you.

Yes, registered little athletes of other clubs may wish to run at BSLAC. Visiting athletes are permitted to compete twice only at BSLAC. Please make arrangements with our Registrar via prior to visiting.

Our club offers a friendly non-competitive cross country season from May to July Saturdays 3pm to 4pm each year for people of all ages and ability (little athletics membership not required). 1km, 2km, 3km and 4 km runs are offered.

No, The Crest athletics track is not available for casual use. Bankstown Sports Little Athletics Centre and Bankstown Sports Athletics are the two clubs that lease this track from the local Council. All users must be a member of either one of these clubs to use The Crest athletics track.
