Important Information Regarding Region
LANSW does not tolerate unacceptable or unsporting behaviour from athletes.
This includes bullying or teasing of other athletes. Any serious or repetitive misbehaviour by an
athlete may result in the offending athlete being disqualified from the competition.
Sport Rage or any violence, foul language, harassment, abuse or bad behaviour by athletes, coaches, officials or spectators. Any type of sport rage will not be tolerated by LANSW and may result in offenders being issued with a formal warning. Repeated or serious breaches may result in the offender being asked to leave the venue. They may also be subject to further penalties, including a ban from future participation in the sport.
A reminder that these officials have given up their time to help officiate the events for your kids. You might notice that there are more younger officials at these type of championships, so please be respectful.

Long jump take of board
for U11-17 will be modified to the 2 metre take of area as this is the requirement @ State Championships
The region will not be allocating a specific coaching area.
The first group of field events on both days will go straight to their field areas – the remaining events have to go through the Call room
At the field events again this season we are not allocating centres for the duty, parents are being asked to assist – don`t forget you closed in shoes

BSLAC Region duties are Track Umpire these duties are for all day Saturday and Sunday. We are asking that you place your name on an vacant time slot, to for fill your duties that you have signed at registration.
We have 127 families attending region and we have 20 spots to fill on Saturday and 18 spots to fill on Sunday.
This can be done with the announcer on Saturday 9 February, or email firstname.lastname@example.org with your details and time slot.
The first two places** from each of the eight regions will progress to the State Championships. Little Athletics NSW then selects the next best eight clear final performances from across all regions.

** The exception to auto qualifiers automatically progressing is if athletes fail to meet the qualifying marks for the 1500m Walk, 3000m or High Jump (as per the Rules of Competition, Section D).

Athletes who cannot complete their 1500m walk or 3000m run within these time limits, at regional carnivals, irrespective of placings (including any auto qualifiers), will not be considered for progression to the State Track & Field Championships.

Athletes who cannot attain the state minimum starting height for the relevant age groups at regional carnivals, irrespective of placings (including any auto qualifiers), will not be considered for progression to the State Track & Field Championships.
