AGE GROUP POINT SCORE WINNER AWARD
These awards are presented to boy and girl athletes in each age group (U6 – U17) who gain a top 3 placing in their age group point score.
Using recorded results of weekly competition and the Centre Championships, our point score system awards up to 200 points for each athlete’s single best performance for the season, in each event available in their age group. These will be tallied to give a total score. Those athletes who compete and complete all events will have the best chance of collecting a trophy.
NRs will no longer count towards qualification for points in any event. Refer to Page 13 of the information book for further details.
The inspiration behind these awards is that they be a challenge to all competitors to improve their personal best performances.
TO BE ELIGIBLE each athlete must have competed in each event at least 5 times or 50% of the times (rounded up) it was offered during the season, whichever is the lesser.
Eg. (1) If an event is offered 9 times, the athlete must compete 5 times to qualify for points in that event.
Eg. (2) If an event is offered 8 times, the athlete must compete 4 times to qualify for points in that event..
